Today is my mom’s 83rd birthday.

Mom would have never shared her age in the past, but she has recently embraced her years of wisdom and wears it proudly.

For her birthday, I wanted to give her something epic as a token of appreciation for all that she has done for our family.

Last year, I took mom to Maui for an epic 17 day trip for her birthday and am thankful that I was able to do so.

In light of recent events, travel was not going to be an option this year.

The birthday celebration started when my sister and her boyfriend (future brother-in-law) sent over a beautiful bouquet of flowers this weekend from England and it made mom’s day, especially with everything going on in the world.

While I got her some nice gifts to celebrate her birthday, what I decided to give her as the main gift was an opportunity to leave her legacy.

Last year, mom took part in our Multi-Author Book Collaboration as we recorded her chapter via audio recording while in Maui.

The chapter touched on her story as a World War II survivor and her journey through life.

This year, her gift will be having her own book.

Mom has talked about wanting to create a book for a long time and my publishing company is going to make it a reality.

The book will be about her life story and I know that she will leave many pearls of wisdom to help others.

We will interview her over 10 sessions and then transcribe, edit, and format the book as part of our publishing system.

Within several months, my mom will be able to leave her legacy with the world and I am proud to be able to do this in honor of her birthday.
